when i'm not working, you might find me at my favorite dance class, on a long walk with a friend, camping in the mountains or exploring someplace exciting and new. My daughter is studying nursing at my alma mater so long weekends in Athens, Ohio are a favorite pastime right now.
I am a color-obsessed, right-brained people-person, through and through. Different cultures, new places, and the jaw-dropping majesty of nature all give me butterflies. I am deeply drawn to bright, rich colors - a mural painted on the side of a building, a great abstract hanging on a wall, combinations and patterns in textiles, flowers or food - I feel inspired by them all.
I adore being a mentor and truly relished my roles in creative department leadership. I found so much reward in inspiring our talented teams to push their ideas into projects that they were truly proud of. I believe good department culture is crucial and worked hard to ensure that every member felt like they were contributing to our success in a significant way. I offer a unique internship to one lucky design-focused college student each summer; creating with them is the highlight of my work year!
We hired Hillary to improve our organization's communication and help us demonstrate our value to the community. Through the countless projects she has done for us and her cheerful writing style, our neighbors and community partner organizations are engaging with us like never before.
Our largest fundraiser, the Historic Druid Hills Home & Garden Tour, continues to exceed our goals year after year, thanks to her branding and creative marketing.
